When I was nine years old, I raised my first market steer to show at the county fair. From that point on, it was obvious that raising livestock was a passion of mine. Throughout my teenage years, I was very competitive and showed livestock at county and state fairs. At 18 I had to put raising livestock on the back burner in order to pursue a college and masters education in science. It was difficult to keep up with the daily needs that raising livestock demands. During the decade that I was in school, I specialized in raising high quality grass. Now that I have completed my training and education, I am able to combine my schooling and the two decades of farming experience to provide the local community with premium pastured meats.
